Facebook confirmed the dark mode for Messenger last October, and last weekend, the company allowed some users to unlock the function with a crescent moon (🌙) emoji. Now, the social media giant has officially announced the arrival of Dark Mode on its messaging application, and the dark mode on Messenger can currently be unlocked by sending the emoji moon crescent into a chat room. Then you can go to the Settings menu to activate it. However, Facebook has said that this is a “time-limited” experience, so you may not be able to activate the black mode after a few days with a lunar emoji, the dark mode is available for Android and iOS users, and if it doesn’t unlock with a moon emoji, make sure you use the latest version of the application. Facebook has stated that the dark mode for Messenger will be “fully deployed in the coming weeks”.
